Published in the ACM Queue

I recieved an email from someone at the ACM Queue letting me know that my submission to the What’s on Your Hard Drive section was selected and will be published in the October edition of the magazine.

The really interesting part in all of this is that I don’t remember what I wrote for my favorite and least favorite tools so I’ll be as shocked as everyone one else when it comes out. Being a source control zealot I’m sure I put subversion down for my favorite, but my least favorite tends to rapidly evolve day by day.

Is there a way to read it for those of us who don’t want to suscribe (even if it’s free) to the ACM queue? Do you have it stored somewhere?

It’s not posted yet – they may lag a month behind the publication.

I was asking if you had the original, but I guess not. I’ll just have to wait a month or so :) Curious to see what’s on your hard drive (that just sounds awful).

    Hey Chris

Saw your post. Way to go! I don’t know what it means but I’m still so proud of you!

Wow. Who are the other people who answered the what’s on your harddrive questions? You’re the only one who didn’t talk about an editor, IDE or syntax highlighting… that’s scary. At least only one of them called himself a “software engineer”.

Oh man! I was mistaken. I just noticed there are two of them!
